I recently failed the poly with San Diego P.D. after having taken a prior poly with another agency and passing. The examiner was really confusing when he asked questions. I appealed the findings and was not successful. Any suggestions on reapplying or has anyone had any experience dealing with The San Diego Police Dept? Thx

Very impressive.  It's not that often that these message boards are graced by such eloquence.

I'm sure that police departments all over the country are beating your door down trying to recruit you.

Do yourself a favor and look for another field of work more suited to your personality disorder and/or educational achievements........like say.......midnight to 8am janitor, or convenience store clerk.

Good luck, you're going to need it in life.

I have to agree with Dude on this one.  I am very opposed to the polygraph, however I think that one should attempt to convey his/her thoughts and feelings in a professional and courteous manner.  Not only is it more respectful, it is treated more seriously than when a person uses insults and foul language.
