Hi guys... I recently learned that I failed a Polygraph test for the Broward Sheriff's Office. 

And now I'm wondering what actions I can take to fix the problem.  I plan to go to the recruiter with whom I've been working to ask him if he'll help me schedule another test.  I received a very impersonal form letter informing me of my failure and of the fact that I have been disqualified from the process for a full year.

I'm an honest person, and I gave honest answers.  I can safely say that I'm a bore, because I've done nothing exciting in my life that was worthy of the police blotter in the local newspaper... or even worthy of confession in my local church.   Everyone who knows me was shocked by the news of my failure, because they all agree that I am one of the most honest people they know.  How the hell is it that an antiquated machine can determine whether I'm telling the truth?  It's obvious that it can't.   

I was simply nervous, because I have always hated having my credibility questioned.  It's something I've hated since I was a child.  I feel the test is an affront, because i know that some lesser qualified person who is good at lying will get the slot meant for me.  My sense of justice and fair play can't accept that.

If I get the chance at a second test, I plan to pop a couple of Xanax to calm me down and have my wife drive me.  That way, I can coast through just like the rest of the liars who have passed the test.

How do I beat this thing?  ???
