Title: Polygraph testing in Minnesota
Post by I Hate Them! on Aug 27th, 2001 at 8:31am
I have been led to assume that polygraph testing in Minnesota is not allowed.  I was wondering if this is for ALL jobs?  Are there exceptions to the ban, such as say, police departments, etc?  If anyone knows the answer to this, please reply.  Or let me know if I was just misinformed about the whole subject.

The Minnesota polygraph statute bans all employment-related lie detector "testing," including both polygraphy and CVSA, and applies to public as well as private employers. The Minnesota statute does not, however, apply to federal agencies within the state. You'll find the text of the statute in an appendix to The Lie Behind the Lie Detector.
