Title: Join CBS 60 Minutes II Discussion of Polygraphs
Post by George W. Maschke on Mar 28th, 2001 at 8:46am
Last night (Tuesday, 27 March 2001), CBS 60 Minutes II ran a segment on the case of Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Daniel King, who (quite plausibly, in my opinion) claims that he was coerced into making a false confession after days of abusive interrogations following an "indeterminate" (inconclusive?) polygraph outcome. A detailed summary of this segment is on-line at:

60 Minutes II also offers a message board, and in a thread devoted to this segment, asks viewers the question, "Do you think the government should use polygraphs to root out potential spies?":

I've posted a reply to this question (reply #20), and encourage others to do the same. You'll need to register with the above message board before posting, but the process is quick and easy.
