Hi I took my FIRST Polygraph test in LA I asked for it and went out of my way to have one.
I was assaulted, the person who assaulted me SAID he did so out of self defense
UNTRUE
SO I asked Detective to polygraph me, they declined - said only on TV
So I went out of my way to the supposedly TOP Most Famous (and $$$) Poly guy in LA and did the test Figured OK, I am BROKE But this could influence and help me in my Restraining Order perhaps civil case Etc -
And since I am telling the truth IF THIS WORKS
I will PASS
Well OPPOSITE HAPPENED I made a statement with four or five
statements ALL 100 % TRUE -
I thought I would be asked DIRECT QUESTIONS from my statement BUT was instead asked ONLY if my statement was 100 % true
which I said yes to -
I had a HUGE line go up every time I answered  the 2 questions regarding my statement
I am DEVASTATED I FAILE Spent this money and FAILED !!!
And did so being totally honest " (

The polygraph is a joke.  Suggestion -  Don't subject yourself to it.

I had NEVER done it before
NOW I have Personal First Hand Experience
I KNOW I told total TRUTH AND I had HUGE reaction
to my statement
So the guy said it was NOT GOOD AT ALL
so I now KNOW  without taking anyones word for it
it doesnt work .... at least for me it DID NOT WORK
when I told 100 truth

Sorry for the sarcasm Dumbfreddy.  I sometimes have difficulty finding the right words to express my extreme displeasure for the polygraph.  If I truly spoke my mind it would not fit the decorum of this site.  Think of your experience and then think of a combat veteran who has been through the horrors of war and even wounded only to come back and lose a job or a clearance because a machine declared he or she is "unreliable" because of a biological reaction that only God can really explain.  Can anyone else grasp the magnitude of this ongoing [u]insanity[/u] ? 

Although I enjoy reading the dialogue on this site, I am chagrined that I appear to be the only person in the United States who understands the full magnitude of the absolute unjust and un-American way that good people have their lives ruined with no appeal solely through the polygraph.  It is like people being executed for jaywalking and we are arguing about how we should post "no-Jaywalking" signs.

I was recently contacted by yet another purported vctim of polygraph science.

In this case, the individual wants a quality assurance review to be conducted by an independent examiner of their choosing.

The original  examiner refuses to cooperate.

Why would the examiner -- who happens to be a nationally known polygraph "expert" -- refuse to release the video (and all the data) of his exam to the very subject who took his "test"?

Would it be an ethics violation to release the name of this nationally-known polygraph expert?

If you simply name a polygraph expert it's not an ethics violation.

Unless you tell a bunch of lies about him.  Then it's an ethics violation.

Unless you pass a polygraph test about the lies.  Then it's not an ethics violation.

Aunty is sorry, but she finds it very difficult to be serious while using "polygraph" and "ethics" in the same sentence.

The complainant told me that the nationally known polygraph expert not only refused to provide a complete copy of the "test" (including video), but also refused to provide the test subject with copies of the agreements (consent forms) the subject signed prior to the "test."

Mind you, all of this came to me via a phone call out of the blue, purportedly from an A-P forum viewer.

Fiction? Maybe.

But if this is all true, it's inexcusable.

Aunty -  You are a literary genius !  You put it very well and nailed it !  Several years ago I got a letter from the Army advising me that a contractor failed to secure sensitive information and all of my military personnel file might have landed in enemy hands.  Last week I got a similar letter from OPM advising that due to their incompetence some wicked force (according to the media the Chinese) probably also have everything there is to know about me.  I wish the Government put as much effort into protecting my vital information as they put into screwing up my life with the polygraph.
