Barry,
The UTAH 7 point system is not peer-reviewed. It is their own invention. Did any independent scientific body validate the UTAH system ? To the best of my knowledge, no computerised scoring system has been independently verified to date. It concerns me when you say that scoring sometimes comes down to the examiners philosophical perspective. It would be far more comforting to a prospective examinee to know that scoring (resulting in a life changing call) was scientifically quantifiable, rather than hinging on the examiners beliefs / life values. What type of errors are you willing to make ? What is your perception iro false positives? The human collaterla damage ? Regards... |
