I just had one of the stupidest experences with LAPD Poly. Three years ago and passed another department's poly, no sweat. I just got home from my second LAPD exam and I don't know what to make of it. The first time he stopped the exam because I was
breathing too slow and could not get a good read off me and my results were erratic. So he told me to retake it on another day.
Just now I was testing and he stopped the exam and went out. His supervisor came in and told me that they almost failed the first time because they
suspected I was employing countermeasures and they were reluctant to have me back. He said that I kept moving and said if you want the job to knock
off whatever I'm doing. I took it one more time and stayed still till it was painful. The examiner again said I was moving and not getting a good read
and said he was going to speak with the supervisor with my results. He came back and was not my "pal" anymore and said I will be informed within 30
days and wouldnt say amything else.
Now first of all, I totally agree on the polygraph. That exam was total B.S. They kept insisting that I have a steady brething pattern which I thought I provided. The supervisor said I did well with the first part(
which was the control questions). Before the exam he made a big deal that I
am already a sworn officer and he was basically trying to relate to me and be my pal. The thing with the supervisor threw me and he came back
and redid the exam. He printed out two charts and I glanced at them and I couldn't make anything out of it.
So tell me, what is going on?
