Title: B.S. Post by Jamie on Jun 7th, 2002 at 3:23am
I applied to the FBI and the machine found I was lying. I did not graduate college, however I am going for a Master's Degree. After all the bureaucratic crap, I recieved my "bad parameter" letter. What a pile.

Jamie,
According to the chief of training at the FBI Academy, almost half of applicants for special agent hire who pass their written tests and interviews are being disqualified because of the polygraph. You'll want to be sure to appeal your polygrapher's decision in writing. See Chapter 5 of The Lie Behind the Lie Detector for suggestions on how to proceed. In addition, you might want to contact attorney Mark Zaid of Lobel, Novins & Lamont. Mr. Zaid is representing numerous polygraph victims in a federal lawsuit. You can reach him at work at (202) 371-6626 or by e-mail to ZaidMS@aol.com. If you would be interested in making a more detailed public statement about your polygraph experience for inclusion on AntiPolygraph.org's Personal Statements page, send a note to info@antipolygraph.org. |
