Title: Navy top-secret clearance Post by Navyman on Dec 21st, 2010 at 12:53pm
I was recently commissioned as an officer in the Navy and just had my personal interview to get my clearance upped to TS. I feel the interview went ok, but at the end the investigator brought up a topic that I had legitimately forgot to include in my SF86. 7 1/2 years ago, as a freshman in college, I was caught with beer in a dorm room by some RA's and given university-administered punishment of disciplinary probation and an essay.
Now I wouldn't be too worried about this except she went deeper into my alcohol use as a teenager and today: how much did I drink? How often did I drink to intoxication? How many drinks did it take to get drunk? It worries me because she seemed to already ask these questions, and by delving into that topic again she seemed to think I was hiding something. Does this seem detrimental to me getting a TS, esp. since I forgot to mention that incident in my SF86? |
