XzoticChick:  Polygraph tests are voluntary.  You are not mandated to submit to a polygraph and you CAN consult an attorney.

Lethe:  To label all cops in a hurry to get to the donut shop…. is just plain wrong.  Peace Officers put their lives on the line every time they put on that uniform – and a lot of times when they are off duty as well.  Believe it or not, cops do not want to arrest the innocent.  Hopefully Sarge will pipe in on this one as he should be insulted by your comment!  Taylor

I have thick skin.

Venting doesn't offend me.  Donut-related jokes I don't even hear most of the time.  They certainly don't make me angry.

Get a lawyer.  If they don't have any evidence on you, I don't see why you should take a polygraph exam.  They could just be fishing.  Cops will just as happily arrest an innocent man as a guilty one if it means they can make it to the donut shop on time.

You don't have to take the polygraph.  Just keep saying that over and over to yourself.  If they take you into custody to question you, get a lawyer.  It doesn't make you look guilty, it makes you look smart.  It is your right.

Who has ordered you to take a polygraph test?  What is the test regarding?
