I already have an intelligence job in the military with a TS clearance (did not require a polygraph), and I want to get out and work for NSA, CIA, or FBI. I tried marijuana once 4 years ago but it was while in the military. Does anyone know how an agency would take this? I'm afraid that since I was in the military when I tried drugs that they will be much less forgiving.
Very likely, since the military imposes a total ban on use of illicit substances.
..........unless your father or mother is a flag rank military officer, senior SES level government civilian or politician. They might make an exception in such cases.
Or if you can get the President to nominate you as DCI or DDCI. Those two Agency officials are exempted from being polygraphed.

You might see if Gen. Petraeus needs a new mistress and/or biographer. That would resolve your situation perfectly! lol
