I have been in intel in the National Guard for the past six yrs and held a TS/SCI throughout.I'm a SPC.

My question is: if i admit to this during a full poly can or will it be reported to my unit? Will my wife be told?

Far more serious indiscretions conducted by General Petraeus had no negative impact on his background investigation, presumably with polygraph, so why worry ?

As I understand it, derogatory information gleaned from your polygraph examination will be entered into an interagency personnel security database called Scattered Castles. So whether or not the agency that conducts your polygraph chooses to contact your unit, details of your polygraph examination may come up when your military security clearance is up for periodic review.

If I get a job I'm interviewing for I am required to take a full poly within 6 mo of starting.

The only thing i'm worried about is that i slept with a friend a few times i met while i started a new job in utah and my family (married) remained in wi until an offer was made on our house.

I shared a couple of texts with this woman about a week after my family joined me in utah but then told her that our friendship should cease.  she understood and knew it was wrong (Mormon lol).  We have had no contact since and I do not expect to hear from her ever again.  She is not in the military.

This happened in the summer of 2014.

I have been in intel in the National Guard for the past six yrs and held a TS/SCI throughout.  I'm a SPC.

My question is: if i admit to this during a full poly can or will it be reported to my unit?  Will my wife be told?

I feel horrible about it and want to tell her, but i don't want to lose my kids.  It happened due to us fighting while apart and feeling lonely of sorts.

The only time i have cheated.
