If you are being charged with a crime it is a good idea to hire an attorney.

If you feel you are being harassed by a police officer you should complain to that officer's supervisors.

THere is obviously a lot more to this story than you are letting on.

Do you even have a lawyer?  A good attorney would stop the harassment in short order.  First thing you should do is retain an attorney.

You don't even have to talk to the cop.  Next time he starts talking to you, tell him you have no further comment.  If he keeps interrogating you, ask him if you are "free to go".  If he says no, then tell him, since you are in his custody, you'd like to speak with an attorney IMMEDIATELY!

Not only do you NOT have to take a polygraph, you don't even have to talk to the police!  Talk to a lawyer.

Is there a newspaper in your town?  Maybe they have a female reporter who would  be interested in reporting on a pervert cop who likes to violate the rights, and harass young girls who are suppose to be innocent until proven guilty, let alone until CHARGED with anything!  Embarrassed
Talk to a lawyer, talk to a lawyer.

You have no obligation to talk to the police without an attorney present. Your atty. should challenge the court's directive to take a polygraph. I don't believe that's legal since poly results are not admissable in court. And, if there was any hard evidence aganist either or all three, there would have already been an arrest. They are trying to scare you into taking a polygraph to get an admission of guilt.

By all means refuse the polygraph. You cannot legally be jailed for refusing it.

Ok so months ago way back in August i had to go to court. My fathers house was robbed of a lot of money and the only known ones there were me,  my younger sister and her friend. I was barely there for 5 mins and the other 2 were there all day. I answered every question the police threw at me truthfully and let me tell ya they like to twist stuff to make you nervous and seem like your lying. They had no solid evidence against any of us. They then threatned my sister and her friend with evidence they said they had against them. So being 2 young girls they collaborated a story about how i took the money that made so sense. But anyway i went to court on charges of theft by unlawful taking. At court my sister and her friend both went in the court room with mismatching stories so they told us all we had to take a lie detector test and charges would be filed based on that. My sisters friend is the only one that took the test (im unaware of how it went) my sister was supposed to take it the same day but my dad refused to let her. I keep telling them im not going to take it but the keep rescheduling and i still refuse. The other day i received a letter in the mail to pick up a certified letter from the local magistrate  at the post office. Since i dont have a car i haven't been able to get it until tomorrow. The only thing it can be about is this case seeing as i haven't been in any trouble. My question is can they send me to jail for refusal to take the test? and can they re open the case with new charges?

Im sorry its so long but i thought if i wrote the whole story you would be able to understand it better.

Also one more question during the instigation the cop on the case would stop me wherever and whenever he saw me to interrogate me about the case no matter who was around. He even threatened me with jail time because someone called and harassed my sisters friend about it all. He told me he could take me to jail right there when i didn't even do it! Can i get him into trouble for all that? I had a lawyer and everything and he still did stuff like that to me!!
