It has been said here before (with some validity) that passing a polygraph is nothing more than a measure of one's ability to pass the polygraph. Truth and deception are ancillary issues at best.

These people are fakes, and are just as criminal as the juvenile delinquents and sex offenders that they inaccurately interrogate.
Just read some of the crap polygraphers have posted here. Search for Sancho Panza Mr. Sackett or TheNoLieGuy4You. It's quite entertaining. They usually end up resorting to slandering the board owner, claiming he is supporting terrorists and child molesters, when we finally get them to drop their facade.

That won't happen until there are enough people effected/affected, and enough unflattering media coverage, to cause significant enough political "fallout" for the politicians and bureaucrats to actually make changes. Making changes now would make them like fools for having relied so heavily on such a bogus process which has put our national security at risk.
The media will probably be too busy covering for President-elect Obama the next four years to be bother with something as mundane as the polygraph. Unless they can find some PC angle to it ("Polygraph found to be biased against women, gays, the poor and minorities"...blah blah blah).
And I see Obama has appointed mostly Clinton retreads to his cabinet (so much for change). Same ole, same ole. But I don't want to get politcal.

Hey everyone. Just wanted let everyone know how I feel about polygraphs. I really hope a polygraph operator reads this too.
I was put into the juvenile system when I was 14 years old. I quickly discovered that taking polygraphs wasn't about telling the truth or not, but more about psychological warfare. The last polygraph I took was on an incident that took place back around 2005. A certain person told authorities that I had done something I actually had not. I recently took a psych evaluation as mandated by my P.O., and during that evaluation the interviewer repeatedly called me a liar, was throwing her hands in the air, and being verbally abusive by using language such as "bullshit" and "that's a crock of shit." After which, I was put in a room and hooked up to a polygraph. He explained to me that there had been changes since the last polygraph I took, and that they now were recording the polygraph exam because people were complaining about being intimidated into failing by the polygraph operator. "That's great," I thought, "But what about the third-degree that the psych evaluator just gave me?" The truth is that polygraph exams are no where near Freudian theories. Come to find out, after the psych evaluation, I've had OCD and ADHD my whole life. This basically means that when I AM paying attention, my OCD makes it difficult for me to interpret concepts that may be common sense to a normal person. That in itself should make the accuracy of a polygraph suspect to say the least. It's not going to matter, however, because from what I heard from my lawyer the "victim" has actually come out and admitted to lying, and now has to testify in court. There's already statements on record of what actually happened from her own mouth. So you magician polygraph examiners can kiss my white ass.
On top of this, back around 2002, I took and failed one polygraph at one facility, and then took another polygraph at a different facility a couple weeks later based on the SAME information and the SAME questions and passed with flying colors. I have been compiling the evidence of the lack of accuracy and dependability of my own polygraphs and will eventually release all information for public access.
These people are fakes, and are just as criminal as the juvenile delinquents and sex offenders that they inaccurately interrogate. The ONLY reason the polygraph has ANY success is because the test and the environment are set up as an intimidation tool (again, psychological warfare) in order to force information out of a suspect.
A word to all the polygraph examiners: your days of manipulative anti-science are numbered, and the more people that are educated on the TRUTH about YOUR bullshit, the less likely you're going to have a job.
