I too am interested in this topic. I can speak my mother language (which happens to be Bengali) pretty fluently, and I'm also somewhat proficient in English and German. Gonna learn Arabic too if I can. I don't have a clue as to what other skills are expected, though.

Obviously, foreign language skills are important, but I was wondering if any of you knew of some other 'skills' that are desirable or that hold significant weight on an application.
