girlscout4N6,

both the CIA and NSA are trying to recruit in this area via TV ads.  As to lacking qualifications - you are not!  I'd have to try finding it again, but the intel community is sponcering a program in, I believe 6-8 universities to groom people for carears in the intel field - one of the majors is... *SUPRISE!* - FORENSICS!

You will probably be a better fit at CIA.  If you are in the DC area, or most large cities, they show up at job fairs...  Go talk to them.

Also, look up AFIO and find someone local to you teaching and chat w/ them.

good luck!,

Hi All,
I am a forensic scientist with a background in molecular biology. I have a Masters degree, and have been working as a contractor for the DoD for the past 2 years.

I would like to break into the field of intelligence analysis, but I am afraid that I don't have the background or qualifications. I don't have a clearance, speak a language, or have a degree in poli sci, international relations, etc. I am willing to learn (and in fact, would be thrilled to learn) a language, or anything else related to the field. However, I'm just not sure how to break into it. I'm afraid that submitting my resume online, it will just get bypassed b/c it won't have the necessary keywords.

If anyone has advice, or can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
GS
