Hey folks. I'm new to the site, new to the test as well. In some very basic and cursory reviews here, I've uncovered a few questions and I wonder if someone would be kind enough to answer.
1. What's the difference between a lifestyle polygraph and the other kind of polygraph? What's the "other kind" called?
2. Who gets the lifestyle polygraph, and who gets the "other kind"? I realize this is a fairly general question, so what I really mean is, are specific job fields required to get lifestyle polygraphs, and other job fields get the "other kind"?
3. What are the procedures associated with each kind of polygraph?
4. How are they read?
5. If a past crime (let's call it an unresolved misdemeanor) is discovered, how hard will they push? Will they notify authorities? Can I lose my current job which only requires a secret clearance?
You guys know what I'm looking for. Feel free to direct me to another information source, as I'm sure somebody like me shows up three times a week. Thanks in advance.
