Cookie Man,

The countermeasures described in both AntiPolygraph.org's The Lie Behind the Lie Detector and Doug Williams's "How to Sting the Polygraph" entail augmenting reactions to "control" questions. There are no published scientific studies comparing the relative effectiveness of TLBTLD and "How to Sting the Polygraph," however, I believe that TLBTLD is better researched and documented and more informative than Mr. Williams's manual. In addition, his claim, "I can teach you how to ALWAYS PASS even if you are nervous (or lying) - no matter what... GUARANTEED!" is overstated. No one can honestly make such a guarantee.

I bought Doug's manual.  It is insightful, but it doesn't really tell you anything you cant find here by searching around a bit.

Mr Mashke, I've spent about two hours reading posts from different message boards on this website and it seems clear to me you're the expect on TLBTLD.  My question to you Sir is: which method works best, TLBTLD or the Doug Williams method? I haven't ordered Doug Williams method, yet, but he seems very knowledgeable as well.  I may have to take a poly in the next future and don't want to end up like the nice lady who had to take it 3 times before passing, although she was telling the truth during the first two polys. I won't be able to use the vaginal infection excuse,,, Wink.  Thanks in advance for your response,,,CookieMan
