I am sure many of you have read my previous posts and know that I was accused of doing something terrible. The "incident" allegedly happened in August 2004, I was first accused in April 2005 and since then I have not heard a word about the status of the investigation.
My attorney has contacted the State's Attorney numerous times and has received no answers about whether charges will be filed.
When he contacted the State's Attorney investigator, he was told that the investigation was turned over to the prosecutor 30 days ago.
The investigators interviewed my own children and I received a letter from DCFS that they found no evidence of impropriety.
My immediate neighbors have never been interviewed by the investigators.
My lawyer tells me that his gut feeling is that this is over. I wish it were true but I can't rely on his gut feeling.
My questions are as follows:
Is it normal for an investigation to take 4+ months?
They seized my computers 2+ months ago. How long does it take to go through them and when can I get them back?
Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I want to put this chapter of my life behind me and get on with taking revenge on those who did this to me.
