Yatittle, Ruckover...thanks for the posts!

Yattitle, you cleared it up for me, that's exactly what was administered.

My exam was also conducted very professionally.
I took it earlier this month, so I guess I won't hear from them for about half a year or so.

It was about 6 months for me.

Hi all,
My first post here...

Does the CIA always administer a lifestyle poly?
My experiences are very similar to what everyone has described (even from the book, "Blowing My Cover,"  except that I wasn't given a lifestyle poly.

After the 1st (and only) session, the examiner said that I had some inconclusive results on my CI portion, I had to then explain any way any doubts... he then said that he was satisfied with my test, and that I probably wouldnt have to come back.

My entire experience did not include anything sexual, or of any relevance to my love life.

Is this not normal?

Thanks in advance, all!!

Your experience was very similar to my own.  As I've stated other places, it was all very professional and business-like.

In your post you state:

"..the examiner said that I had some inconclusive results on my CI portion.."

If it was not a lifestyle poly, then he would not have had to use the word 'portion', as the entire thing would have been CI.

Lifestyle polys are not required to involve sexual history. From what I've read, it appears that they concern themselves with drug usage, criminal history, and those type of activities. These activities are not counter-intelligence (CI) relevant, more they are lifestyle relevant, as it gives them an idea of who you hang out with, what type of things you do in your spare time etc..

You almost certainly had a lifestyle poly if it was administered by the CIA as issues of coersion are critical in assessing a person's viablity in the agency. (per their employment frequently asked questions).
