Faulty logic Magnetoman.

You either don't know why that study does not apply to the FBI applicant screening test format or you have not read it yourself.  Wrong either way.

Could you elaborate?

Magnitar:  Nobody on this site has conducted any research on polygraph and you take what they say at face value.  What's the diff?

Freaked-out

Actually, someone has done a thorough scientific study of the validity of the polygraph.  In early 2001, The National Academy of Sciences, National Research Council spent nearly one million dollars to research the veracity of the polygraph (BCSS-I-00-01-A).  The proof is located on this site, here is the link:

http://antipolygraph.org/nas.shtml

It would be in your best interest to read it before making a statement that places you on a very precarious limb. Grin

Hmmm....I'd like to see this study and what academic journal this was published in and when.  You should have told your professor you do not buy statements like that at face value... Grin
