found out about a month after both poly's that i had failed. i haven't been offered a third poly yet, as I just have learned about my unsuccessfull second poly attempt. I suspect within the next month I will find out if i get denied or another chance...
thanks

George can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe with the Feds that if you fail a poly with one agency then you would have to disclose this with the other and I think this will definatley count against you. ???

Hi, I just received news that i failed my second poly. OH MAN, i wish i read this site before i went. I have a few questions, and i didn't see them answered anywhere else.
I admitted doing several things in my second interview, possibly some of them will cause them to deny my application. (I'm thinking that I have a 75% change of getting rejected.) I have already passed my TS/SCI background investigation. Will it benefit me in any way to like withdraw, or something, from the last polygraph? My thinking is that I might be able to keep some portion of the TS/SCI...or maybe have better changes of getting the TS/SCI if i applied later? Or is it already too late?
As far as the Inter-agency blacklist, or whatever, am I pretty much screwed already? If I like withdraw my application before I'm oficially denied, does that do anything? I hope this isn't a stupid question.
Finally, if I do fail the poly, i'm assuming that my whole clearance is gone right? Theres no way of 'holding on' to the part that i passed?
Thanks much...if only i had read earlier...
Unfortunately, out of ignorance of the process, I can not comment on the implications of withdrawing the application, or getting pieces of a clearance.
But I would like to ask a question. After you took your first polygraph, when did you find out you failed that one? After you took your second polygraph, when did you find out that you failed that one?
Did they offer you a third test or some other means of satisfying that requirement?
