I just finished the book.  While I can't speak to the training and the day-in-the-life experiences, I can tell you that my polygraph experience was nearly identical to that described in the book.

A new book by former CIA employee Lindsay Moran discusses the author's employment with the Agency and will likely be of interest to those considering a career in the CIA.

Blowing My Cover: My Life as a CIA Spy (Putnam, 295 pp.) provides an account of the hiring process (including the polygraph), training at Camp Peary ("The Farm"), and work as a case officer under diplomatic cover.
