JimmyD First off, such use should not be exclusionary-esp. since you no longer take it and it was prescribed when you did. I am a bit confused how you extended the use past junior high, and you seem to be concerned with the extra use. Hiding it from your future employers will force you to lie several times. On your application, to the psychologist and finally to the doctor doing your medical screen. If you take this course, and your obviously considering it...you will sensitize yourself to the drug issue and most likely fail the polygraph. Most departments have specific criteria regarding drug use, you should explore those and apply when you meet them. Best of luck

Hi I'm new to the forum. I took anti depressants for a period of time. I have no emotional probems or any other. I took the med throughout high school and some of college. I've been off the medication for a year and a half now. The medication was related to OCD experienced when i was in elementary and Junior high. However, as precaution, i continued the med. My question is, Is there any way the law enforcement agencies i am applying to can find out about without me telling them or someone else that might know? I would appreciate any help in this area. Thanks. JimmyD
