Danny,

Many others like you, have told the complete truth, only to be wrongly branded as liars based on a "failed" polygraph "test."

My first advice to you would be to get a lawyer, and not to speak to the police or any other governmental authority without his/her presence. Many lawyers offer an initial free consultation.

Second, to understand what was really going on during your polygraph "test," I recommend that you download and read The Lie Behind the Lie Detector. You'll be especially interested in Chapters 1 and 3. If you have any friends/family/ acquaintances who are now looking at you with suspicion, you might want to print out a copy for them to read.

One more thing you might want to do today is to write down for your own records a detailed memorandum of everything that happened during your polygraph interrogation, including such things as the polygrapher's snide remarks and her yelling at you. Was this interrogation videotaped or audiotaped? If so, the existence of that tape should offer you some protection in case the authorities somehow attempt to use this "test" as evidence against you.

I jsut stumbled upon this site today. I volunteered to take a polygraph test to clear my name in a child abuse case. I failed it today. I had absolutely nothing to do with this child being abused and i told the complete truth.  When the tester came back into the room to tell me i had failed, i asked to see the charts. She said that i did not need to see them because she was the expert. When i told her i thought the polygraph wasnt accurate, she started yelling and made me leave causing a scene. She wouldnt let me ask any more questions. Please Help, im really scared right now.

Danny
