Meinhart had previously professed innocence in the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Approximately two months after Li&#8217;Aziah&#8217;s death on or about 20 January 2021, Kandie Meinhart went to the studio of the <em>Steve Wilkos Show<\/em> to take a polygraph &#8220;test&#8221; to clear her name from suspicion. The show&#8217;s polygraph operator for this episode, who was not named, was likely either the <a href=\"https:\/\/antipolygraph.org\/blog\/2021\/10\/08\/celebrity-polygraph-operator-dan-ribacoff-sent-racist-text-messages\/\">disgraced<\/a> Daniel Ribacoff or his daughter, Lisa. As <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240721110949\/https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/news\/kandie-meinhart-delaware-county-baby-beaten-murder-mother-arrested-liaziah-20210629.html\">reported<\/a> by Mensah M. Dean for the Philadelphia <em>Inquirer<\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The mother of an 18-month-old girl beaten to death in her family\u2019s squalid Chester apartment was charged with first-degree murder and related crimes Tuesday, along with her boyfriend, who faces the same charges, authorities said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The arrests of Kandie A. Meinhart and Maurice Eugene Davis come more than five months after the January death of Li\u2019Aziah Thomas, and a month after Meinhart appeared on the nationally televised \u201cSteve Wilkos Show\u201d to profess her innocence. During the show, Wilkos told the audience Meinhart had passed a polygraph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meinhart, 31, and Davis, 29, face charges of first- and third-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, child endangerment, conspiracy, and related crimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both are being held without bail at the Delaware County Prison.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding Meinhart&#8217;s guilty plea and sentencing, see Vinny Vella&#8217;s report, <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240721115919\/https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/crime\/kandie-meinhart-liaziah-thomas-murder-chester-20240719.html\">&#8220;A Chester woman was sentenced to decades in prison for killing her infant daughter&#8221;<\/a> in the Philadelphia <em>Inquirer<\/em>. The case against Meinhart was <a href=\"https:\/\/ujsportal.pacourts.us\/Report\/CpDocketSheet?docketNumber=CP-23-CR-0004560-2021&amp;dnh=7VENsKQNRLRAcspyyCOkKA%3D%3D\">Docket Number CP-23_CR-0004560-2021<\/a> in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County, Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some time after Meinhart&#8217;s arrest, but in any event no later than 21 September 2021, the <em>Steve Wilkos Show<\/em> removed a 10-minute excerpt of Meinhart&#8217;s episode from its YouTube channel.
