Lewis interviewed Detective Sally VanBeek, a polygraph operator with the Everett Police Department, who opined that sociopaths cannot beat the polygraph.<\/p>\n<p>Is VanBeek, who is also <a title=\"Northwest Polygraph Examiners Association\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nwpea.net\/mc\/page.do?sitePageId=27428&amp;orgId=npea\" target=\"_blank\">president<\/a> of the Northwest Polygraph Examiners Association, somehow unaware that <a title=\"Wikipedia - Gary Ridgway\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gary_Leon_Ridgway\" target=\"_blank\">Gary Leon Ridgway<\/a> of King County, Washington, one of the most prolific serial killers in American history, <a title=\"Gary Leon Ridgway, Deadliest Serial Killer in U.S. History, Passed Polygraph and Killed Again\" href=\"https:\/\/antipolygraph.org\/cgi-bin\/forums\/YaBB.pl?num=1067927512\">passed a polygraph test<\/a> and continued his killing spree? What about <a title=\"'Angel of Death' Charles Cullen Passed Polygraph\" href=\"https:\/\/antipolygraph.org\/cgi-bin\/forums\/YaBB.pl?num=1141319916\">Charles Cullen<\/a>, the &#8220;Angel of Death&#8221; who passed a polygraph and went on to kill dozens?<\/p>\n<p>And just last week, a New Jersey man was arrested for the killing of five teenagers in 1978.
