Excerpt:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>April 9, 2002 | WASHINGTON (AP) &#8212; While two U.S. citizens have been arrested for espionage since July, increased FBI lie detector tests have uncovered several lesser security transgressions among FBI employees, the agency&#8217;s security chief said Tuesday.<\/p><p>None of the information gained from the 700 polygraph examinations since the arrest of FBI spy Robert Hanssen has turned up a security breach as serious, Kenneth Senser, head of the agency&#8217;s new security division, told a Senate committee.<\/p><p>Hanssen has pleaded guilty to selling secrets to the Soviet Union and Russia over two decades in exchange for $1.4 million.<\/p><p>&#8220;The process has identified lesser security transgressions and other behavior that has resulted in referrals to the FBI&#8217;s Office of Professional Responsibility for appropriate disciplinary considerations,&#8221; Senser said.<\/p><p>In addition, &#8220;we are continuing to work with slightly more than 1 percent of the tested population to resolve anomalies,&#8221; Senser said.<\/p><p>He did not elaborate on what actions resulted from the referrals.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Associated Press correspondent Jesse J.
