Gelb. The letter, dated 2 May 2006, the same day the council met to consider the item, and just over a week before the <a title=\"Long Beach Police Department\" href=\"http:\/\/www.longbeach.gov\/police\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Long Beach P.D.<\/a>&#8216;s current arrangement with Intercept was set to expire, seems timed to forestall any serious consideration of alternatives to Intercept.
