{"id":3044,"date":"2001-07-04T15:30:06","date_gmt":"2001-07-04T20:30:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/antipolygraph.org\/blog\/?p=3044"},"modified":"2021-02-19T16:43:04","modified_gmt":"2021-02-19T21:43:04","slug":"more-on-polygraph-dragnet-at-philippine-city-hall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/antipolygraph.org\/blog\/2001\/07\/04\/more-on-polygraph-dragnet-at-philippine-city-hall\/","title":{"rendered":"More on Polygraph Dragnet at Philippine City Hall"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry\">\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The polygraph interrogation of public employees in General Santos, Philippines, <a href=\"https:\/\/antipolygraph.org\/blog\/2001\/06\/29\/polygraph-dragnet-at-philippine-city-hall\/\">reported by the Sun.Star website on 29 June 2001<\/a> is underway, Sun.Star reports in a new article titled <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20010809121607\/http:\/\/www.sunstar.com.ph\/gensan\/07-04-2001\/topstories2.html\">&#8220;NBI Polygraph experts test tax collectors.&#8221;<\/a> Excerpt:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>GENERAL SANTOS &#8212; Polygraph experts from the National Bureau Investigation have completed the polygraph tests to city hall employees in an effort to determine who were responsible for the loss and issuance of government receipts.<\/p><p>Nine persons reportedly underwent the lie detector tests, which extended beyond midnight the Monday [sic].<\/p><p>NBI sources refused to reveal the identity of those who were subjected to the lie detector test.<\/p><p>The same sources likewise did not reveal whether those who took the tests were all city hall employees.<\/p><p>The Manila-based polygraph experts were earlier requested by the NBI investigator Dominique Cerro following the request of Mayor Pedro Acharon Jr. to investigate the reported loss of 47 Accountable Form 51.<\/p><p>The two experts, identified as Annie Neffe and Benedicto Pinzon, refused to give details of the results of the test.<\/p><p>The NBI experts explained that they are not allowed to disclose the result of examinations that may preempt the results of investigation.<\/p><p>NBI Chief Lawyer Mama and case investigator Dominique Cerro could not be reached for any comment.
